Canada grants $7.1 million to boost PH tourism industry competitiveness

DOT PhotoMANILA (PIA) — The Department of Tourism (DOT) is set to receive a $7.1-million technical assistance grant from the Government of Canada, through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), to help boost the competitiveness of the tourism industry.

The funds will administered by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The memorandum of agreement (MOA) on the ADB-CIDA Technical Assistance on Improving Competitiveness in Tourism was signed yesterday in a ceremony held at the Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros, Manila.
